1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide Directly
When you create an account or use DueZen, we may collect:
- Account information: your name and email address
- Bill and budget data: information you enter about your bills, due dates, amounts, categories, and financial reminders. This data is stored to provide the App's core functionality.
1.2 Subscription and Payment Information
DueZen offers a paid subscription. When you subscribe:
- Payment processing is handled by our third-party payment providers (e.g., Stripe and/or RevenueCat, and the Apple App Store or Google Play Store).
- We do not collect or store your full credit card number, CVV, or banking credentials.
- We may receive limited transaction information from these providers, such as subscription status, plan type, transaction ID, country, and the last four digits of your payment method.
1.3 Usage and Analytics Information
We use analytics tools (such as Google Analytics or Firebase Analytics) to understand how users interact with the App. This may include:
- Device information (device model, operating system, language, time zone)
- App usage data (features used, screens viewed, session duration, crashes)
- Approximate location derived from IP address (country/region level, not precise GPS)
- Anonymous or pseudonymous identifiers
This information is used in aggregate to improve the App and is not used to personally identify you.
1.4 Information We Do Not Collect
- We do not access your bank accounts or link to financial institutions.
- We do not collect Social Security numbers, government IDs, or full payment card numbers.
- We do not access your contacts, photos, or other personal files unless you explicitly grant permission for a specific feature.
1.5 Device Backups
Your device's operating system may include DueZen data in standard device-level backups — for example, Apple's iCloud Backup or Google's Google One backup service. When this happens, your data is encrypted and managed by Apple or Google under their terms, not by us. We do not initiate, control, or have access to these backups. You can disable or delete them at any time through your device settings.
DueZen itself never uploads your data to a server, never syncs to a cloud database, and never holds a copy of your data outside your device. The only time your DueZen data exists outside your device is when you explicitly export it (via the in-app CSV export) or when your phone's operating-system backup includes it as part of its normal operation.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain DueZen
- Process subscription payments and manage your subscription status
- Send you bill reminders, notifications, and service-related communications
- Improve, personalize, and expand App features
- Detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, or abuse
- Comply with legal obligations
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information with:
- Service providers: trusted third parties that help us operate the App (e.g., cloud hosting, analytics, payment processing). These providers have access only to the information necessary to perform their functions and are obligated to protect it.
- Legal requirements: if required by law, subpoena, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of DueZen, our users, or others.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will notify users before their information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

- Stripe — payment processing (Stripe Privacy Policy)
- RevenueCat — subscription management (RevenueCat Privacy Policy)
- Apple App Store / Google Play Store — in-app purchase processing
4. Data Retention
We retain your account and bill data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes.
5. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights:
5.1 All Users
- Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction: request that we correct inaccurate information
- Deletion: request that we delete your account and personal data
- Opt-out of analytics: disable analytics through your device settings or by contacting us
5.2 California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)
You have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, and opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell your personal information.
5.3 European Economic Area, UK, and Switzerland (GDPR)
You have additional rights including data portability, the right to object to processing, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Our legal basis for processing is generally (a) performance of a contract, (b) your consent, or (c) our legitimate interests in operating and improving the App.
To exercise any of these rights, reach out via our contact form.
6. Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures — including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and access controls — to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children's Privacy
DueZen is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EEA/UK). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
8. International Data Transfers
If you access DueZen from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. By using the App, you consent to such transfers.
9. Push Notifications
If you enable notifications, we will send you reminders about upcoming bills and account-related alerts. You can disable notifications at any time through your device settings.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by email and update the “Last Updated” date above. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
