Step 1 — Delete your data inside the app
The fastest way to delete your DueZen data is from inside the app itself. The button is exactly where you'd expect it.
- Open DueZen on your phone.
- Tap Settings in the bottom navigation bar.
- Scroll to the Account section.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Confirm the deletion.
The moment you confirm, every bill, subscription, savings goal, payment record, balance history entry, journey milestone, and preference is wiped from your device. There is no undo, no recovery, no backup we can restore from. We designed it this way on purpose: when you say delete, we delete.
Step 2 — Cancel your subscription
Cancelling your DueZen subscription is separate from deleting your data. That's because subscriptions are managed by Apple or Google, not by DueZen — we don't process your payment or hold your billing details.
On iPhone or iPad
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap your name at the top.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Find DueZen in the list.
- Tap Cancel Subscription.
On Android
- Open the Google Play Store app.
- Tap your profile icon (top right).
- Tap Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
- Tap DueZen.
- Tap Cancel subscription.
If you cancel before your billing period ends, you'll keep access through the end of the period you've already paid for. After that, the subscription stops renewing.
Step 3 — Can't access the app?
If you've already uninstalled DueZen, lost access to your phone, or just prefer to handle it via email, send a deletion request to:
What gets deleted
When you delete via the in-app flow
- Every bill, subscription, and recurring payment you tracked
- All payment history and balance update entries
- Every savings goal and its full deposit/withdrawal ledger
- Your entire Journey log — milestones, celebrations, streaks
- All themes, layouts, notification preferences, and settings
- Anything else DueZen stored on your device
When you request deletion by email
- Any record of you in our subscription provider system
- Any support email correspondence we've had with you
Because DueZen never connected to your bank, never synced to a cloud database, and never built a server-side profile of your finances, there's simply not much for us to delete. That's by design.
What we may retain
In limited cases, we may keep certain records after deletion:
- Subscription transaction records as required by law for tax or accounting purposes
- Anonymized records related to fraud prevention or legal compliance
These records are minimal and never include your bills, payment history, savings data, or anything you entered into the app.
Timeline
| Action | When it takes effect |
|---|---|
| In-app deletion | Immediate |
| Subscription cancellation (Apple / Google) | End of current billing period |
| Email-based deletion request | Within 30 days (usually 1–3 days) |
